Windsor Results

17 teams came out to Windsor Golf Club to compete for a spot in the NCGA Associate Club Four-Ball Net Championship. In the days leading up to the tournament, the weather forecast looked bleak and gloomy and many thought the tournament would be cancelled. As the day dawned, however, the radiant sun shone and it became a splendid day for golf (except for the last 3 groups who did get caught in a late downpour on the last hole).

With 2 person teams and the best ball of two format, it was a fierce contest to the very end. Ultimately, the team of Yoch Lin and Allen Tchoi eked out a 1-stroke victory over 3 other teams by shooting a net 62. Allen has promised to raise his game in representing OCGC at the NCGA qualifier. Thanks to Terry Owyang for running a smooth tournament. The results as follows:

1st low net team: Net 62 (10 under par)
Yoch Lin and Allen Tchoi ($100)
2nd low net team: Net 63 (9 under par) - tiebreaker

We will be playing WINTER RULES – you are allowed to lift, clean, and place your ball within 6 inches (no closer to the hole) when it is in the FAIRWAY. Play the ball as it lies in the rough. Plugged balls (not in a hazard) are lift, clean, and drop. Free relief from casual water.

Tees: Men – Black (6169 yds, 69.4, 122); Women – Red (5116 yds, 69.3, 125)

Format: Four-Ball (Two-Person Net Better Ball Stroke Play)Four-Ball is a best-ball competition format in which teams consist of two players.
