Hiddenbrooke Starting Tee Times

Please pick up official scorecards at the first tee. They are located inside the plastic Ziploc bag along with the Skins envelope.

We will be playing SUMMER RULES – play the ball down as it lies.

Tees: Men - White (5769 yds, 68.8, 132); Women - Red (4647 yds, 67.6, 121)

Format: Criss Cross
The format of this tournament will be Criss Cross, an individual scoring format where each player gets to compare corresponding scores on their scorecard and choose the lower of two scores, resulting in a 9-hole total score. Basically, the Front 9 holes are paired up with the corresponding Back 9 holes. In other words, think of No. 1 and No. 10 as a pair, No. 2 and No. 11 as a pair, No. 3 and No. 12, and so on up to No. 9 and No. 18.

Following the round, compare the net scores recorded on No. 1 and No. 10 and circle the lower of the two. Compare No. 2 and No. 11 and circle the lower of the two, and so on through No. 9 and No. 18. Then add up the 9 holes you’ve circled for your total score. Scoring is based on net scores utilizing full handicaps.

Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd low net in A and B flights. Tiebreakers will be used for low net ties.

Closest to the pin prizes on all par 3s. There will be only one CTP marker for both flights on each hole, so make sure you put your name down for the correct flight.

To speed up play, on the back 9 you may pick up your ball if your net score for the hole is already higher than the corresponding hole for the front nine. For example, if you shot a 6 on Hole 1 for a net 5, and you are already sitting 6 on Hole 10 with no chance for a net 5, you may pick up since you already have a net 5 as your score for those pair of holes. For posting purposes, treat your score as if it were match play. Record the score you most likely would have made had you completed the hole, and you can adjust later under equitable stroke control when posting your score.

Play READY GOLF and KEEP UP WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU.
